QFA Call for Entries BACK MASTER

On this page, we are going to insert 1 easy to follow recipe a week. Ideal for the beginners and pros.
As much as possible, we will introduce many original recipes, many from Portuguese cuisine, and also some from Mozambique and South Africa.
The idea is to make things as easy as possible in your kitchen ending with a superb meal.

GRILLED SALMON 

This is my special fish recipe, a healthy and tasty meat using MANNYS Meat Marinade sauce. This marinade was specially created to marinade Red meats, fish and sea-food as well.

Cover the salmon with the marinade sauce and let it rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Remove from refrigerator and sprinkle one tablespoon of olive oil on an oven tray for every portion of fish, and then lay the salmon on top of the oil.
Grill the salmon for 10 minutes in a preheated oven grill.
Whilst the salmon is grilling, chop one slice of MANNYS Presunto (Parma style Ham) per portion of salmon.
In a small bowl, add the Presunto to 2 tablespoons of double fresh cream (2 spoons per serving) and mix the two together

 After the 10 minute cooking-time, remove the salmon from the oven and cover it evenly with the creamy mixture.
Return to the grill for another 10 minutes and then it’s ready to serve!

It is best served with a generous fresh salad and white rice.
This recipe can be done using any kind of fish and can also be roasted if you don`t have a grill. A 250 ml bottle of marinade will marinate 3 Kg of fish.

 


 

This chickenburger is easy to make and is a delight

Piri-Piri Chicken Burger

Take fresh whole chicken breasts and cut them open in the middle so that when you open them up, they will have the shape of a heart or butterfly. The ideal weight will be about 6 oz (150 g), but you can go as big as you want

Grab a bottle of “MANNYS” Chicken Marinade (Plain or Hot, whichever you prefer), shake it and pour the marinade over the chicken breasts, making sure to cover them with sauce. A 250 ml bottle of marinade will be enough to marinate about 3 Kg of chicken. 1/3 of the bottle per Kg of chicken.

For best results, leave the chicken breasts in the marinade for at least 2 hours or a little longer if you can; leaving them overnight will be perfect!

When ready to cook, place the chicken breasts on a preheated BBQ on high heat. Let them grill for 3 minutes on either side.

Baste the breasts during cooking if there is any remaining marinade. For a refined finish, squeeze 1/2 lemon in a small bowl and add 2 table spoons of olive oil. Mix well and baste the chickenburgers with it, when you’re almost ready to remove them from the grill. (making it nice and moister) 

When cooked, place on a burger bun with salad and generously top with “MANNYS” MannyNaise or Tomato Fusion, or a mixture of both.

 You can also serve it on a plate as a chicken steak, with chips or a lot of healthy green salad.
